TOTAL NEW + MODIFIED SOURCE STATEMENTS:

Total new + modified source lines of code (non-comment, non-blank). Modified code is code changed from a previous release, existing modules, or altered from packaged software.

ALTERNATIVE SIZE UNIT:

PRIMARY LANGUAGE:

If source statements are not available (as described above), provide another unit which quantifies the scope of functionality. Examples include Function Points, Modules, Requirements, and Screens/Dialogs. Also provide the primary development language.

TOTAL UNMODIFIED SOURCE STATEMENTS:   {Optional}

Total source lines of code from existing modules (reused code) or purchased packages, that require no modification, but require integration and testing with the new and modified code.

MAIN SOFTWARE BUILD (MOS):

Time in calendar months for the main software build. This phase begins with the start of detailed logic design and ends when the system is delivered.

MAIN SOFTWARE BUILD (SM):

Total staff-months of effort to complete the main software build. This includes effort for detailed design, coding, testing, integration, QA, configuration management, and project management. (i.e., 5 full time people for 6 months = 30 staff months; 1/2 time = 15 staff months)

MAIN SOFTWARE BUILD (PK STAFF):

Peak number of full time equivalent staff used on the main software build.

FOC DATE:

Date that the system reached Full Operational Capability (MM/YY). FOC occurs at the end of the main software build phase. (i.e., Implementation, General Availability, Release Date, etc.)

ERRORS (SIT-FOC):

Total unique number of software defects found from the start of system testing to delivery of a fully operational system. Total defects include: critical, serious, moderate, tolerable, & cosmetic defects. (N/A for a project estimate.)

ERRORS (1ST MO. OPER.):

Total number of software defects found in the 1st month of operation. (N/A for a project estimate.)

APPLICATION TYPE:

Number best describing the application type of this system.  Check one below
1. Microcode/Firmware 6. Telecom/Msg Switching
2. Realtime 7. Scientific
3. Avionic 8. Process Control
4. System Software 9. Business
