Building and Sizing Class
Designed as a follow-on to the
Basic SLIM-Estimate and SLIM-Control Course,
this class focuses on customizing SLIM-Estimate and calibrating
it to your environment.
Proper size estimation can mean the difference between
success and failure. We teach several techniques you can use to
minimize uncertainty surrounding the size estimate and facilitate
successful project planning.
Templates are a great way to customize SLIM-Estimate
to your methodology, phases, milestones, staffing profile, defect
discovery profile, and more. A well-built template standardizes
estimates throughout your organization, minimizes data entry,
and can significantly improve the accuracy of your estimates.
This is crucial to establishing repeatable results.
The 1 1/2-day course covers sizing techniques
and building templates. Students may attend an optional 1/2
day session to focus specifically on their environment and data.
